Abstract

Happiness is a feeling that can arise motivated by different elements and in different contexts, including the work context, whether in industrial, commercial, or service companies. Demands to increase worker productivity make researchers include the most varied factors, such as happiness. Thus, the present work sought to identify which elements present in the work context influence happiness. The productivity approach linked to satisfaction does not seem to prevail among the behavioral themes, or even its association with the pleasure of producing, or even happiness in the work environment, which are important indicators for the results of an organization. To achieve the intended objective, bibliographical research was carried out, as suggested by Lima and Mioto (2007), however, the results indicate that there is a long way to go because it is a relatively new subject, and that, despite that, there is a guide for obtaining more information on the subject.
